I am a 40 year old woman, who approximately a year ago was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. One of the major features of this, for me, is suicidal ideation. Or, in other words, an obsession with ending my own life. In this blog I plan to chronicle my efforts to stay alive, share a little bit about my experience of living with BPD and hopefully make you laugh (a bit).

Socrates believed that the love of wisdom was above all else, hence that the unexamined life is not worth living. I believe that in life there is a force towards balance and harmony and when there is an imbalance the manifestation of this gives us the answer on how to act. To know thyself is a truism, I believe that by examining your life you will restore balance and harmony. The process may be painful at times but you have a lot of people rooting for you and we can all learn something by this, hopefully others in the same position. That is a noble ambition. x.
